December 14th, 2007Tony Robbins: Why we do what we do, and how we can do it better
In this fast-paced talk, iconic motivational speaker Tony Robbins explains how to unlock your true potential, and asks the audience (including former Vice President Al Gore) for a bit of high-level interaction. The spontaneous on-stage interaction between Gore and Robbins creates an unforgettable TED moment, and also demonstrates the power of Robbins’ direct — even confrontational — approach, which calls on his listeners to look within themselves, and find the inner blocks that prevent them from finding fulfillment.

Hired by a wide swath of high-performing professionals (who are already plenty motivated) look to him for help reaching their full potential.
Robbins’ expertise in leadership psychology is what he does, though when you say his name many people will state something like …”ahhh, that self help, motivational babble. I do not need motivational talk to be motivated and or the achieve my goals.”
This is true for most who hire him for their personal fulfillment, but for those who make statements like this one above (…”ahhh that self help, motivational babble. I do not need motivational talk to be motivated and or the achieve my goals.”) are lacking the proper knowledge of what it is Tony does.
I my realistic observation, MOST of these people making un educated, speaking from their ass statements like this one are by far the least likely to climb higher than they have in their previous job, title, position in life.
They were/are earning a six figure income, in most cases I have found those who dismiss leadership psychology, self help type of aid see no “need”, want or desire to use this bunch of crap as their “crutch” for reaching their full potential >>> therefore they have what they have always had and will always achieve to the level they have always achieved and most often this is the case.
Their self relying BS about how they are self controlled and they are readily knocking other due to their “lack” of the ability to change fail to look at themselves and see they too have a serious issue with change. They are doing the same things, the way they have always done them, never truly coming to the realization what they did for so many years with what they viewed was success (in their eyes it was), though the principles are the same…they have failed and are continually tricking themselves into believing what they have always done, will always work with the same results.
Sad!!!
…but then again, this is only my opinion and to most people I know…my opinion is only this…my opinion. It does not hold water and is not received with any type of sincerity or real respect. When I speak, with those around me (even those I consider close to me) my opinion is only heard, but seldom acted upon (if ever).
Then again this is only my opinion.
